I watched Mr. Pointy Comes to Brooklyn: http://www.youtube.com/v/kT98NL3QrCs&hl=en&rel=0
I found a blog post that says that this video was inspired by the Indianapolis Museum of Art's video Love Move.
Mr. Pointy was shot in timelapse style, documenting the load in and assembly of the Takashi Murakami sculpture. It combines still shots taken from ground and from roof and then picks up a "true" timelapse of the installation of the piece.
Timelapse had gotten lost in my memory but this reminded me that most animation is a timelapse sequence of the realization of someone's fantasy.
Last night I went to see the movie Death Note. It is based upon a Japanese manga: http://www.onemanga.com/Death_Note/.
I think that I had heard the word "manga" before but had not paid any attention to it. This movie seeks to translate a comic strip into a live action film. I have a criticism if the presentation. I think they should not have dubbed the dialogue. It would have been better to hear the Japanese and read subtitles.
