I watched this video twice: http://www.youtube.com/v/RD8CHTFOLPI&hl=en&rel=0
So fashion, music, and entertainment are "caught in the moment" and lead to kool (maybe that should be cool). I think I get the idea but the concept isn't worded very well. Is the idea that -- if a fashion, a music, a style of entertainment lasts long enough it becomes a tradition and traditions are what hold societies together?
When this work was described as "heartbreakingly autobiographic," I thought of Jason. It had not consciously occurred to me but maybe he is suffering from heartbreak and his suffering has been going on a long time. I don't know. I hope not.
The comment that this is a bringing together of a wide range of styles both geographically and historically, seems just a bit over the top to me. But then I am too ignorant of all these technical art facts, to have an informed opinion.
I did wonder if the music chosen was a favorite of the artist or of the videographer.
